The Dude Himself
Travis Reardon
BA, BSN, RN, CSCS
The founder of The Fit Vagabond, Travis Reardon, came up with the idea of TFV many years ago. His passion for helping others is what propelled him into this space. Back in the day, Travis would strap a ruck on his back and go on city hikes, taking friends with him on his adventures. The conversations that took place while out on the trails made him think about what it would look like to make this a part of everyday life.
Travis has a background as an EMT and fitness trainer. He holds a certified strength and conditioning specialization and has experience in personal and corporate training. It was this along with his experience as a registered nurse serving underprivileged and community populations for years that led him to found TFV.
Travis has worked with psychiatric populations, men suffering from homelessness, drug and alcohol addition, and mental illness. For the last decade, he has worked in the community helping those with severe mental illness and has realized the dire need for a preventative approach to mental health. In America, healthcare for those dealing with mental health concerns is primarily reactive and often, by the time support is sought out, there is much work to be done and undone. This is why Travis went on to become a Nurse Coach and help people navigate some of life’s challenges. Travis longs to meet men who desire to target their own health using a practical approach, building a strong foundation and incorporating fundamental building blocks to a better life.
